Where Is The Justice ?

On a recent solo trip to our home in N.C. I received a citation in the mail for running a red light. I was informed that if I failed to pay there would be dire consequences. The ticket was mine as the car was registered to me. Problem is, I wasn't in N.C. and I wasn't driving. I confronted the person I suspected was the culprit and she (Judy Roney) fessed up. Her response " I thought I might have run that light now that I think about it". Hmmmmmmmmmmm. Where is the justice ?!

Israel

Mary, I like getting differences of opinion. Thanks. I would not like someone taking my land and kicking me out. That would be an injustice and I would rally about it going to all the places I could, to get justice. But after exhausting all of those options I would resign myself to reality and dig in and start about my new life. I wouldn't hide in the bushes shooting rockets at the new occupants of my former abode. I would get on with the business of building a new life for me and my family. The Palestians want disarmament through negotiations and Israel wants negotiations after disarmament. Where do we go ? I see things as they are now and think that solutions should be worked out. I am sure injustices have occurred but lets turn the page on the past and live for the future. After all, Before the Romans threw the Jews out they were the initial occupiers of the land. This killing and killing is a pasttime for many of the youths as well. They can go around carrying a rifle, feeling important and no job required. It is a way to shirt the reality of building a community.

Israel

I am confused. Why are people upset with Israel ? If someone is throwing rocks at your house and causing damage and death and you go to all the neighbors and authorities asking for help and no one responds, so you take matters into your own hands and confront the bad neighbor. Then you have all the neigbors screaming that you are bad. I just don't get it. Where are the neighbors when the guy was killling and damaging with the rock throwing thing ? I think this is a terrible trajedy what is happening in the Middle East and perhaps Israel has responded too aggressively. I will leave that to the experts but here is what I do know. This mess is going to on and on until we reeducate all concerned and that means getting to the youth. Does Palestine really think that Israel is going to pack up and say okay, we are leaving. They are a military powerhouse and they are there to stay. Why can't the Palestinians accept that and go from there. Accept a land for themselves worked out by all concerned and get along with the business of living and finding happiness in life. Personally I think the Jewish people are a fantastic people. Look at all the medical advances that country has given us not to mention the arts. And of course Jesus was a Jew. One of the real culprits is Iran. They have this agenda that is skewed. Evidenced by what their leader says about no Holocaust. I always think about what I heard someone say one time. They have to love their children more than they hate their neighbor. Peace.

Judys Friends

Judy has a lot of friends. The friends that I like a lot are her internet buddies. They probably don't really know how much they mean to Judy as they don't live with her, but I do. Judy loves to write. that is her outlet. With her internet buddies she has immediate feedback and often in her times of sorrow or whatever they have been so supportive. That is not only good for Judy but good for the health of my family. I am appreciative to all these ladies. A lot of people say you meet some crazies on the web which I am sure is true but it also enables you to hook up with some very nice people. I am not all that crazy about writing but watching Judy over the years has peaked my interest and made me take a different view of the internet. Not that I ever had a negative view but now I have a view that the internet can be used to serve a lot of good things. Heck, my brother in law met his wonderful wife on the web. I would tease her about when her internet buddies would hookup in different parts of the country for their annual meeting, that they would greet each other with their fingers typing, instead of embracing hugs. I guess that is not funny but as I visualize it , it makes me laugh. A toast to her internet buddies. Peace.

The bailout.

Since no one really cares what I think I find it funny to post my thoughts. I guess you could call it a release. The car industry wants some money to stay afloat. I worry that we the taxpayers are prolonging the inevitable. Let em go bankrupt. Here is why. The unions have positioned themselves in a way that overly rewards the workers with hefty packages. All the way through retirement. I understand that $2000 of every car built goes directly to employees benefits and retirees as opposed to a much smaller amount going to car manufacturers like Nissan and Toyota thereby cutting the competitive edge for an American car. Not to mention the top brass raking in the cash with their fleet of corporate jets and the like. I think to make them competitive and clean the mess up we need a clean slate. That is the only way that you will be able to deal with the unions and the old guard. Clean house. Bring in some young innovative thinkers. Up to date on all the new technology. Lets bust up that good ole boy system and lets get competitive again because we are making good cars now thanks to the pressure from the competitors. So I see bankruptcy as not a bad thing. Sure, we will suffer short term in the economy but in the long run I think we will soar. With our new elected representatives I am confident we will not see a bankruptcy though . They are beholding to the Unions that help put them in office and they are not about to disappoint their base. Hey, just my thoughts. Peace.

The bailout

I am not all that up on the workings of the economy but I do have some questions or should I say concerns. I am concerned that someone who bought a house and did not plan properly to cover the debt, are now going to be relieved of that burden. A plan they should have planned for and considered all the different angles before they signed on the dotted line. When Judy and I bought our first house we thought and thought about all the things that could happen if times got tough. Such as a job loss or whatever. We decided that we could do it and we opted for a small house that would be within our means. Job loss ? We'll manage. I call it self reliance. Seems to me that now we want to bail out those people that made the bad decisions. Its almost like no self responsibility. Same can be said about the businesses that have indulged in bad money management for so long. There will be no penalties for their ineptness. The government is here to bail you out. I believe strongly in taking care of oneself. I call it self reliance. I think if we are going to bail all these people out we (the people) should get a cut. I want a piece of the company and benefit from the proceeds if and when they recover. I want a piece of the house if and when they recover. Albeit a small piece but wouldn't that be fair. Perhaps a lien that would have to be satisfied. Just my thoughts.

Greetings

This is an attempt to blog. I do not want to be left behind in this day and age of technology. Plus, I think this is a wonderful thing as a way to stay in touch with family and friends so here I go. In case anyone is wondering, the title "RAS3104" is the initials of our business and the address. As this has been such an important part of my life, I felt that it would be appropriate. So from Ras3104 to all my family and friends, Peace.
